To Choose a popular family area to buy a property in Tenerife, Los Cristianos has much to offer you and will tick a lot of the boxes.
Formally it was a small fishing village, but now it has grown into a very popular town both for holiday makers and residents alike, yet still maintaining its charm and charisma. There are lots to do in Los Cristianos and it hosts an array of really good shops and restaurants. The famous Las Vistas beach has won several awards and from the far end of the beach you can easily walk to "The Golden Mile" in Playa de Las Americas and the famous "Oasis shopping centre" Which some call "The Safari centre" You can actually walk from the far end of Los Cristianos to La Caleta as the promenade is fully pedestrianised!
In the centre there is the popular Church and church square which is fantastic when there are the local fiestas. Just a short walk from the Los Cristianos square there is the Port where you will see local fishing boats, fresh fish stalls and restaurants. You can also catch one of the ferries where you can visit the other islands.
Just around the corner from the port there is the lively area of San Telmo which overlooks the Las Vistas beach and offers some top quality popular restaurants, (Sama Sama, Watermelon, Habibi, Sal Negra) and also a few local nightclubs and bars.
There are lots of properties to choose from and popular complexes such as Royal Palm, Paloma Beach, Castle Harbour and Cristian Sur all have a tourist licence. The Residential complexes of El Rincón, Playa Graciosa, El Mirador, Port Royale and Parque Tropical are quieter and short term holiday rental is not encouraged. If you are looking for a larger house in Los Cristianos then the budget is usually much higher. La Perla, Mesetas del Mar, Vista Hermosa, Los Arcos and Los Cardones are to the far end of Los Cristianos where you will find the popular hotel Arona Grand. The complex of La Punta has bungalow style houses and is at the San Telmo side of Los Cristianos. Los Cristianos has something to offer for all tastes and is a place not to be missed!!
